Bridal Preparation
I try to do most of these photo's in black and white. This is because there's usually lot's of clutter and background distractions when a Bride is getting ready. Making an image black and white calms the scene down so the clutter becomes less distracting.

Pre-Ceremony
When I got the photo's I need of the Bridal party getting ready I'll leave them to do the finishing touches. This gives me the opportunity to take some detailed shots around the venue,as well as reportage photo's of the guests arriving.

Before the ceremony I have a look around to find the best position and speak with the Minister or Registrar to see if there is any house rules.I try to get photo's of every moment without distracting anyone.

Post Ceremony
The time after the ceremony is much like the time before.People are mingling and catching up,but now the Bride and Groom are also present and doing their rounds.I look to capture the Bride and Groom with their guests,individual shots of guests as well as the children playing.
Groups
After the Bride and Groom have a chance to relax and catch up with their wedding guests,it's time for the dreaded group shots!Formal photo'shave become an established part of a wedding day,which I find quite amusing as most people dont seem to enjoy them.I try to limit the number of photo's,this should be enough to cover everyone

Reception
It's nice to have a wide shot of the whole room to really get the scene in your album.I like taking photo's of wedding reception rooms full of guests.Everyone is there to celebrate a marriage - there's something special about that.As the night unfolds I like to get photo's of the first dance and the bridal party dance and all the little things that make your night one in a million.
